Day 1 - Parachute Ice Cream

Some families have a summer dream to hike a mountain, get in shape or go to a far off oasis. Us, we want to try every ice cream parlour in Victoria, BC.
Braeden at Driftwood said we should start a blog. So we did.
And this is our blog.

We don't know how to do a blog about ice cream. Should we give ratings, comments, ranking or just our raw impressions? If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments below.

Today we went to Parachute ice cream.  It is located on Bridge Street very near the Driftwood brewery. This made my Dad very happy. He got beer and we both got ice cream. Check Parachute out on Instagram and Facebook.

I, Arianna, decided to get a one scoop of two flavours which were cinnamon bun and toasted coconut vegan. The cinnamon bun (which was on the top) was very well made it didn't melt too much. It had lots of cinnamon bun chunks which were a very touch. I would rate it a 8/10. As for the second flavour, toasted coconut vegan, I wasn't really sure what to expected because it was vegan and I don't know how I feel about that. Although it pleasantly surprised me and the coconut pieces were very good. I would rate it a 7.5/10. For the cone it was a 10/10. Overall a 9/10 and we would recommend this place to anyone who loves good ice cream.

When we were there they had 12 different flavours. Some were simple and some were adventurous. Daddy chose the Cinnamon bun and thought it was great. Prices were reasonable at around $5 for a generous helping in the waffle cone. There were a few flavours in the cooler that were ready to take home.

Stay tuned for next Wednesdays post about the next ice cream place we go to! We are drawing inspiration from the July/August issue of Eat Magazine. Maybe we will try Kid Sister or Cold Comfort.
